Why Customers Unsubscribe from Your Newsletters?

Newsletters are a great way to connect with your customers, but what do you do when too many customers start unsubscribing? Read this article to learn the most common motives your customers might have.

WHAT IS HAPPENING

Don’t worry; it’s normal for customers to unsubscribe from newsletters, but if they unsubscribe too much, there might be an issue with your emailing. The general unsubscribe rate for a single email campaign is 0.26%; below 0.5% is alright, but more than that is unwelcome. Time to discover what is happening if the number is bigger.

TOO MANY EMAILS

The first reason why customers unsubscribe is too many marketing emails. According to the statistics, 53% of consumers think they get too many emails from companies, and only 44% say the number of emails is appropriate. As you can see, making your customers happy is not easy.

Find the balance. Start by analyzing the data from previous marketing campaigns. Next, do the A/B tests to see what your customers prefer. Once you know your customer’s preferences, you can segment your audience and send emails at their preferred frequency. CDP & CRM CareCloud has apps like Analysis & Reporting, where you can find the necessary data and create the right audience in Campaign & Audiences.

DISPLAY PROBLEMS

Nothing is worse than customers having problems with opening an email. These days, most people read emails on their mobile phones. The statistics say it’s up to 81%, but only 20% of emails are optimized for phones.

Start creating marketing campaigns for mobile phones. In CareCloud email designer, you can see how your email will look on the computer and the phone. Another important thing is to remember to test and preview your emails before sending them.

Test emails on different devices. Every email client is different, so make sure your emails look good no matter where the receiver opens them.

THE CONTENT DOES NOT ENGAGE

Every customer is different, so you can’t satisfy everyone’s taste. Nevertheless, 56% of customers sometimes unsubscribe from newsletters just because the content is uninteresting.

Get feedback from your customers thanks to surveys and find out what your customers want. Place the audience into a segment and create interesting content for the particular group. Even though it sounds like a lot of work, as a reward, you will have loyal customers who like to come back, which is a good deal.

PUSHING ON PURCHASING

Nobody wants to receive an email that is nothing but a call to sell; in other words, the emails have no added value. Customers will be tired of these emails soon enough. Up to 69% of customers said that occasionally, they unsubscribe from the newsletter because it is too promotional.

Try to create balanced emails. The ideal ratio is that 80% of your emails should be valuable and impart something to the customers, and only 20% should include product and service offers.

THERE IS A SOLUTION

Create amazing marketing campaigns on one platform. CareCloud offers apps that simplify everything and reduce your workload. Use an application like Campaign & Audiences to segment the audience and design your emails. The Marketing Automation app will send the campaign automatically without your intervention. After everything is set and done, see the results in the Analysis & Reporting app.
